The loss of Iraq's intangible cultural Heritage

Posted on August 18, 2014 at 12:20 AM

The intangible cultural heritage of Iraq, which is part of our collective memory throughout centuries has been under attack by religious forces for decades Not only has its destruction led to the disintegration of society but also the loss of a positive dialogue and understanding between the groups. People feel alienated to each other because they believe that they have nothing in common. It is more essential today than any time before to find our common roots, values and beliefs and reboot our rich mutual cultural heritage.
